Who’s at risk for skin cancer?
Everyone. Skin cancer is the most common of ALL cancers. It accounts for nearly half of all cancers in the United States. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime.
Some risk factors for skin cancer can include: Pale skin that sunburns easily, unprotected and/or excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation (sunlight and tanning beds), family history of skin cancers, multiple or unusual moles and severe sunburns in the past.
